Nate and I were out walking our dogs, Jethro and Tiger, around the lake today when they began whining and straining against the lead a little more frantically than usual. Tiger sounded like she was going to choke herself trying to get to something glinting in the dead grass on the shore. Nate managed to grab an old blue bottle out from under Jethro’s nose.

When we opened it up a scrap of paper fell out which read, “LIVE AT THE MAR-RY ROUSHT! FLAGS UP! TORCHES OUT! DOWN WITH DRAGONS AND ALL HAIL THE PIRATE KING! No cover for Centaurs, Fauns drink free, Two for One’s before Market Bell, and wipe your hooves for fox sake! Wharf Fresh Angel Eels and never ending Beef Roll baskets with the purchase of a round for the entire bar.”

Any information on what the hell is happening would be greatly appreciated.

Hey all you citizens of Free America! Turn Back Now Just celebrated our tenth birthday HARD at Moon Palace Books. We had a great time and we super appreciate everyone who came out to support as artists, musicians, or lovers of Rock and Roll. We put together a compilation of stories and fliers from the past ten years. If you didn’t get a copy ,you can snag one at the Kitty Cat Klub October 27th for our traditional Halloween show with the cats from The Stondest (formerly/maybe still also RapeDoor).

You can also get into the spirit of the season when the Denim Thieves open the set with The Nightmare Trilogy, also available streaming on the music page of the website under the name Sine Fine Nocte (SEE-ne, FEE-ne NOK-te). Hey y'all! Exactly one week till shoot day. Saturday July 1st, we're suiting up in baseball gear, denim, glitter, camo, and prison jump suits and shooting a Lori Petty video chock full of the spirit of Lori Petty and shockingly devoid of any physical representation of Lori herself. We've been working on this particular project for several years, and we're locked and loaded with anticipation to actually make it happen, let alone to share it with y'all. 

Keep those cute little booties on duty y'all. We gotta represent for dat rent. And keep your eyes trained this way, cause Bottle Tree Productions is gearing up for Turn Back Now's 10th birthday this Fall, and we have some presents for you!!

Club Underground was looking like Punk Rock scene graduating class 2012. Raymond Breed was back in town and as ever, he looked like our prom king. Love playing a stripped down set, love playing with the fellas on acoustic. Love sining love songs to my wife. Thanks for having us NE Minneapolis! We should do this again sometime soon.

Our main guy director man Erich came over to discuss Lori Petty. Look out for us after July, cause I'm gonna be shirtless on your news feed after playing baseball with some irate Tank Girls. At least probably. Look for the alligator chain y'all.
